WHY
BUY ORGANIC?
The average child receives 4 times more
exposure than an adult to at least 8 widely used cancer-causing pesticides in
food.
We are connected to the earth and the
earth is connected to us. If we harm the earth and throw whatever it may harm
it, it is just a matter of time that we
are going to see that manifested in us. WE HARM THE EARTH, WE HARM
OURSELVES, OUR CHILDREN AND EVERY HUMAN BEING.
2. Prevent
Soil Erosion
Soil is eroding 7 times faster than it is
being built up naturally in croplands. Organic farming regards rich, healthy
soil as the foundation of the food chain, not just a medium for holding plants
in a vertical position so they can be chemically fertilized.
ONCE OUR SOIL IS ERODED IT WILL BE
VERY DIFFICULT TO PRODUCE FOOD, BY ERODING THE SOIL WE REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY
OF THE EARTH BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE FOR US.
3. Protect
Water Quality
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
estimates pesticides contaminate the groundwater in 38 states, polluting the
primary source of drinking water for more than half the population.
WE, HUMAN BEINGS ARE MOSTLY WATER, WITHOUT WATER WE DIE, IT IS A HIGH PRIORITY TO CARE AND PROTECT OUR WATER SOURCES, WE CANNOT LIVE OR THRIVE ON CHEMICALLY CONTAMINATED WATER.
4. Save Energy
Modern farming uses more petroleum than
any other single industry, and more energy is used to produce synthetic
fertilizers than to cultivate and harvest crops. Organic farming relies on more
labor-intensive practices and using green manures and crop covers to build up
soil.
EARTH AND LIFE IS SELF SUSTAINING, IF WE ALLOW ALL THE NATURAL PROCESSES TO OCCUR AND IF WE SUPPORT THEM, WE CAN LIVE FOR AND FROM THEM AT THE SAME TIME WE ARE NOURISHING US AND THE EARTH. WE ARE AN INHERENT PART OF THE EARTH.
5. Keep
Chemicals Off your plate
WE LIVE TROUBLED TIMES WHERE WE ARE
MOSTLY SICK BECAUSE WE ARE LIVING FROM A SICK EARTH, UNLESS WE CHANGE THE WAY
WE HAVE BEEN CREATING SICKNESS WE CANNOT CREATE BALANCE OR LIVE. CANCER IS A
REFLECTION OF THE EARTHS HEALTH LEVEL.
6. Protect Farm Workers
A Natural cancer Institute study found
that farmers exposed to herbicides had a six times greater risk
than non farmers of contracting cancer. In California, reported pesticides poisonings among farm workers have risen an average of 14% a year since 1973 and doubled between 1975 and 1985.

WE ARE ALL CONNECTED, WE HELP THE WE
GET HELP. SUPPORTING ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING CREATES SUPPORT, WE ARE ALL
CONNECTED AND EVERY INDIVIDUAL ACTION
IMPACTS OTHER HUMAN BEINGS, EARTH AND EVERY SENTIENT LIVING ON THIS PLANET. WE
HELP, WE HELP OURSELVES.
7. Help Small Farmers
Most organic farms are small,
independently owned family farms of less than 100 acres. Ate the rate family
farms are being lost, organic farms could be one of the few survival tactics
left.
WE LIVE BY THE BIG MONOPOLIES AND BY
THE DECISIONS OF A FEW THAN CONTROL MOST OF THE ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES. HOW WE
LIVE IS OUR CHOICE AND WE DO HAVE A SAYING, OUR ACTIONS AND CHOICES. FOR ME, IT
FEELS A LOT MORE BETTER TO EAT FOOD PRODUCED IN A WAY THAT IS KINDER TO THE
EARTH AND TO OTHER FELLOW BEINGS WE ARE WHAT WE EAT AT ANY LEVEL, PHYSICAL AND
ENERGETIC. WE TAKE IN WHATEVER ENERGIES WAS INVOLVED IN THE FOOD PRODUCTION.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
8. Support
a True Economy
Conventional food prices do not reflect
hidden costs born by taxpayers, including nearly $74 billion in federal
subsidies in 1988. Other hidden costs include regulation and testing, hazardous
waste disposal and cleanup, and environmental damage.
THE MORE ENERGY, LABOR AND HARM TO
THE EARTH INVOLVED IN FOOD PRODUCTION CAUSES A LOT OF BIOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC
LIABILITY AND WE ALL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, MONEY, HEALTH,
ETC… A TRUE ECONOMY SHOULD BE ONE WHERE WE ALL PARTICIPATE, WE CAN ALL BENEFIT, WE CAN GET SATISFACTION FOR OUR WORK, WE CONTINUOUSLY CONTRIBUTE, WHERE WE WISELY USE OUR TECHNOLOGY AND RESOURCES.
9. Promote
Bio-diversity
Mono cropping reduces the diversity of
plant life and strips the soil of minerals and nutrients, increasing the need
for chemical fertilizers. Despite a 10-fold increase in the use of pesticides
between 1947 and 1974, insect looses doubled, partly due to genetic resistance
to pesticides.
WE ARE ALL CONNECTED, WE ARE MEANT TO HONOR AND RESPECT NATURE, LIFE AND EARTH, THIS INCLUDE ANY SENTIENT BEING. WE ARE ALL HERE FOR A REASON, WE ALL PARTICIPATE IN THE PERFECT DANCE OF NATURE’S DANCE TO CREATE BALANCE, GETTING RID OF SPECIES OF ANIMALS AND VARIETIES OF PLANTS WEAKENS US ALL AND REDUCES THE POSSIBILITY OF SUSTAING LIFE. WE ARE PART OF LIFE.
10. Taste
Better Flavor
Organic food tastes better, lasts longer, and
had more nutritional value than non organic food.
WE ARE WHAT WE EAT, WE HONOR,
RESPECT, SUPPORT, IT IS GOING TO MANIFEST
AT ANY LEVEL IN OUR FOOD AND IT COMES IN WITH BONUSES LIKE MORE PLEASURE
TO OUR TASTE BUDS, MORE NUTRITION TO OUR BODIES AND MORE JOY AND PEACE TO OUR
HEART AND SPIRIT. TASTING BETTER COMES ABOUT WITH SAVORING LIFE FROM OUR TASTE
BUDS TO OUR SOUL.
NUTRITION FOR YOUR BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT |
